Dr. Rishabh Rajput is a highly accomplished microbiologist with over 18 years of experience in clinical microbiology, molecular microbiology, infectious diseases, and infection control. He is currently the Section Director, Senior Consultant, and National Head of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at National Reference Lab, Modern Diagnostic & Research Centre, Gurugram – Haryana (India).

Dr. Rajput is a Project Management Professional certified by the Department of Management Studies at the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi (IIT). He also holds certifications in Public Health, Clinical Laboratory Practices, Medical Ethics from Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH) sponsored by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare – Government of India. He is also Certified in Hospital Infection Control from CAHO and Max Hospital, New Delhi.

Dr. Rajput is a key member of the Quality Team at Modern Diagnostic & Research Centre, which is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and ISO-15189 by NABL, India. He is recognized as a leading expert in his field and has received numerous awards for his work, including being the first microbiologist among private medical laboratories to start conducting COVID-19 tests throughout Haryana.

He is an Assessor for Quality and Accreditation Institute (QAI), India, and International Lead Assessor for Accreditation Education Research & Scientific Service Centre (AERSSC), Kathmandu, Nepal.

He is a Certified Internal Auditor (QMS & IA) approved by the National Board for Quality Promotion – Quality Council of India (NBAP-QCI), New Delhi, India.

Additionally, he is a member of professional organizations including ACBM, IAMM, ISMM AMI, IFCAI, and AMLA. He has actively participated in conferences and workshops as part of his research endeavours. Notably, he led his institute to achieve CAP & NABL accreditation, becoming the first Microbiologist to accomplish this feat. He has also provided guidance to numerous undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students.

His research contributions have been published in esteemed national and international journals. In recognition of his unwavering efforts during the COVID pandemic, he was bestowed with several COVID warrior awards.

He serves as an Editorial Board Member (EBM) of the International Journal of MAR Microbiology (MARMY), an internationally refereed, peer-reviewed, and indexed journal. He is also an Editorial Board Member (EBM) and Reviewer for the International Journal of Creative Research Thoughts (IJCRT), an international open-access journal. Furthermore, he holds the position of National Vice President of the Association of Clinical Biochemists & Microbiologists, India and is a Member of the Academic Board of ACBM India.
