Dr. Rajput joined MDRC in 2014 with a vision to establish and elevate the department to the highest industry standards, under the esteemed guidance of MDRC CMD Dr. DS Yadav. Dr. Yadav provided unwavering support for this vision and ensured timely approvals.

Dr. Rajput holds the distinction of being the first Microbiologist in the institute to obtain department accreditation from renowned bodies such as National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL, India) and College of American Pathologists (CAP – USA).

The Microbiology department, encompassing Bacteriology, Mycology, Mycobacteriology, Molecular Biology, and Infectious Disease Serology, efficiently processes approximately 20,000 samples/month.

Furthermore, department is actively engaged in various ongoing projects and maintain valuable Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with esteemed institutions in India, including AIIMS, India.

The department consistently participates in EQAS (External Quality Assessment Schemes) from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, and is consistently ranked among the top performers.

Amidst the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the entire world was grappling with the trauma of the global health crisis, Dr. Rajput demonstrated remarkable leadership and initiative. Recognizing the urgent need for accessible and reliable COVID-19 testing, Dr. Rajput spearheaded the establishment of in-house COVID PCR testing facilities. This pioneering effort positioned our laboratory among the top three private laboratories in the state of Haryana to undertake this critical initiative.

Owing to his unwavering dedication and exceptional contributions to the nation, he has been the esteemed recipient of numerous COVID Warrior and Appreciation accolades throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
