Dr. Rajput is a highly accomplished microbiologist and leader with over 18 years of extensive experience in clinical and molecular microbiology, infectious diseases, and infection control. Currently, he serves as the Section Director, Senior Consultant, and National Head of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at National Reference Lab, Modern Diagnostic & Research Centre, Gurugram.

Expertise & Leadership

Dr. Rajput is a Project Management Professional (PMP), certified by the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi (IIT). His expertise in quality and accreditation is profound; he’s a key member of the Quality Team at Modern Diagnostic & Research Centre, which holds prestigious accreditations from the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and ISO 15189 by NABL, India. He played a pivotal role in achieving these milestones, being the first microbiologist to lead an institute to CAP & NABL accreditation.

He is also a Certified Assessor for Quality and Accreditation Institute (QAI), India, and an International Lead Assessor for AERSSC, Kathmandu, Nepal. Further solidifying his commitment to quality, he is a Certified Internal Auditor (QMS & IA) approved by the National Board for Quality Promotion – Quality Council of India.

Public Health & Innovation

Demonstrating a strong commitment to public health, Dr. Rajput holds certifications in Public Health, Clinical Laboratory Practices, and Medical Ethics from the Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH), sponsored by ICMR and MoHFW-GOI. He is also a Certified Professional in Hospital Infection Control.

A recognized innovator, Dr. Rajput was the first microbiologist among private medical laboratories to initiate COVID-19 testing across Haryana, earning him several “COVID Warrior” awards for his unwavering efforts during the pandemic.

Contributions & Recognition

Dr. Rajput’s influence extends to academia and research. He has guided numerous undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students. His research contributions are widely published in esteemed national and international journals. He also serves as an Editorial Board Member for the International Journal of MAR Microbiology (MARMY) and the International Journal of Creative Research Thoughts (IJCRT), where he also acts as a reviewer.

His leadership roles include previously holding the position of National Vice President of the Association of Clinical Biochemists & Microbiologists, India, and being a member of its Academic Board.

Dr. Rajput’s dedication to his field is also reflected in his active participation in various professional organizations including ACBM, IAMM, ISMM AMI, IFCAI, and AMLA.
